Growing up in the South Bay, I went to the original Sharkeez before it burned down. Went when my brother turned 21 and we hit up Happy Hour for 2 for 1 pitchers and food. Came out drunk and full for under 20 bucks. Can't complain with that. Also, that was like 12 years ago

****, I remember when I was in junior high and my mom would drop my friend and I off at the beach when Pier Ave went all the way to the base of the pier. I guess I sorta like what they've done down there although I try and only go out down to Sharkeez, P Malloys, Sangria, etc...a few times per year.

In my early 20's we always went to Malloy's on Thursday nights for their 2 for 1 or whatever the deal was. The bad decision bear came out a lot back then.

I used to go to the Sharkeez in Newport Beach all the time and it went from ok surfer hangout to douche machine. I stopped by the one next Henessys(sp?) about a year ago and I'll never go back. I guess this place has magic when you're 25 or so, but once you hit 30,and like to drink something else besides Bud Light or Coors Light you're over it. Or maybe that's just my take.

There's a dive bar in Thousand Oaks called Akrey's, it's ****ing crazy. I've heard that a fight breaks out there almost every night, the one time I went these two dudes went at it and the loser got his face bashed in and was bloody as hell. Never went back lol.
