Coming up: pan-fried copper river salmon with fried rice and sauteed mushrooms, paired with a Sapporo.
[edit]
Ohhhhh... all I did was coat it in a light olive oil and drop it in a hot pan for a few minutes on each side. It's like salmon-flavored butter....

Looks fantastic.....we had farm raised salmon the other day and while its not copper river it was ok. I made some sauce using fresh dill, japanese mayo, a bit of crushed garlic, and a bit of olive oil to lighten the consistency a bit. Thumbs up and great pic!
I got myself a fillet of copper river last week. was on sale at Ralph's for the same old price of $9.99/lb.

One of my favorite recipes for something like farm raised is just 50/50 soy sauce and maple syrup, let it marinate for a bit and you're good to go. Also, if you liked smoked salmon, this guy is awesome: Products .::. Tracklements Expensive enough it really only works for special occasions, but oooohhhhhhh sooooooo good.
I avoid farm-raised salmon, and other fish, at all costs. even if for free or they pay me, I'd still avoid it.

I like to put mayo and brown sugar on the salmon before bbqing it, or a garlic cillantro butter which I use the most.
If a ram is a sheep and a mule is an ass,why is a ram in the ass a goose?
ya, i don't buy farm raised either.
i bought some wild atlantic salmon and put it in a puff pastry. i posted a pic in the foodies thread. it was SO good. buttery and the pastry kept the salmon moist and tender. even my picky 2 yr old kept wanting more of the fish. i just put half a filet in the pastry and baked for 20 min. the thing was so huge though that i only ate half. gonna have the rest for lunch tomorrow.
