Bumping this thread from page 6. Scored some Copper River Salmon on Thursday at Costco. The fillets are $10.99 a lbs, and the whole fish, sans head, tail and innards, are $7.99 a lb. I stuffed a whole one with some saffron rice, butter nut squash and shrooms. Smoked it on some olive wood. Damn tasty supper and the salmon is at a decent price. Enjoy.

I guy that I play golf with every Tuesday has a place somewhere in Alaska and he goes there every summer to fish for Salmon. He smokes it and brings back a couple of hundred lbs. He's an idiot, but I bit my lip to get some of the fish. I think he ships some of it back here to freeze. Nothing like the wild stuff

just grilled up about 15 lbs of wild caught (by me) of coho for my daughters soccer team bbq. just salt pepper and olive oil. almost pulled the trigger on the copper river salmon at costco, but hard to buy salmon when i bring back a min of 100 lbs from alaska every yr. mostly coho, and some king.
