Thread: Alright, who's eating where in Vegas?

HH on Friday night - it's the tradition and I am looking forward to seeing Steve this year there. We will hit Il Fornaio Sunday night and for a couple of breakfasts and I may try to get the wife to go to Mandalay buffet. We will be staying at NY-NY and will probably hit Carlos y Carlos prior to the game Saturday night.

I heard good things about the buffets you mentioned, but unless you plan
on eating more than 2 (hearty)plates of food and drink(s) are included, it's
not really worth it. Some of the buffets I have been to in Vegas were visually
not impressive and not worth the price. I would rather spend less and go to
a restaurant.
As far as Downtown goes, Hugo's seems like a nice place. I think I will try it
next time I'm there (Memorial Weekend). I also hear that Binion's has a
very good steak house on (I believe) the 24th floor. I'm sure the Nugget has a
couple of good places as well. The only other place in Downtown I would
consider would be Fitzgerald's, but I think they closed their steak house
"Lymerics". Any other places in Downtown you know about?

My parents usually eat at the Redwood Bar and Grill in the California. They've never taken me so I can't recommend it. But my dad's worked in the restaurant business for 30+ years and my sister has a culinary arts degree so I figure it can't be all that bad otherwise they wouldn't keep going back.

Their other favorite in Las Vegas is Rosemary's (on Sahara between Buffalo and Durango so not anywhere close to the strip. My dad told friends about it and they took a cab not realizing how far it was. Big mistake). This is where they usually take my sister and brother in law out for their one super pricey meal in Vegas.

We usually stay downtown whenever we go. The Nugget has a great dinner buffet at a relatively cheap price. The Main St. Station has a good breakfast buffet. If you feel like some down home great Hawaiian food, go to the California. Great food and friendly Hawaiian people all over the place.

I forgot about Main Street's Pullman Grille.

All good options, but if you want a steak to remember and you have the means to burn....Morton's Steakhouse can't be beat!
