"Everyone knows that In-N-Out's fries are notoriously bad despite being fresh cut in-house—it's because they only fry them once instead of the superior McDonald's-style double-fry"
From the link posted above. The fries suck no matter how you order them.
I like their fries but admit theyve got a very short time frame when they go from good to horrible. I generally order them well done.
BTW-mcdonalds also sprays their fries with sugar water...its what helps gets that golden brown color.

A burger place without bacon immediately goes to the bottom of the list. That's why in that grade of hamburger chain, Five Guys>>>>>In-N-Out
Threads like this make me very sad that I don't eat fast food anymore :(
I dont understand the beef with In n Outs fries. I have always loved them. If you want an order of greasy fries that come frozen, go to mc donalds or some other ****ty place. I prefer fresh, which is exactly what you get with the In n Out fries. The potatoes are chopped right in front of you, then fried. No idea why their fries are such a turn off.
I don't know. I tried it, and it tasted like a slightly improved version of the Jumbo Jack. When I want a quality restaurant burger with bacon, which is not that often, I'd go to one of the fancier joints. For a fix of quality fast-food burger, I'd prefer In-N-Out.
I'm not saying 5 guys was bad, just not anywhere close as good as all the fuss about them led me to believe.
