Taps in Brea has a pretty good brunch, or at least they did the last time I went there.

Not OC but if you feel up to the drive i recommend Shanghai Reds Sunday Champagne Brunch, its in Marina Del Rey

Buffet style and all you can drink mimosas for a lil over $30 a person on the water front.

i'll second taps, but i went there for a birthday with friends. another place i go to for brunch with friends on the reg is cucina enoteca in irvine spectrum. i usually get their bottomless bellini (peach + champagne). that's $15. then i get like a $11 plate of chicken and waffles.
we have yet to try the hacienda but i have heard it's good.

as for romantical occasions, i've only been to plum's in costa mesa with my husband. they specialize in a pacific northwest brunch menu, i get either the willamette hazelnut pancakes or coconut french toast with a mimosa and coffee. my favorites are up in LA but i haven't been up there on the reg since my husband lived up there for school.

We settled on taps.....fit the price range and the seafood bar the wife wanted. Really wanted to try some of the places in laguna and newport but the price range was off the chart.

Sorry this is late.....but Taps was great. Champagne gives me a headache so was happy to have the beer option. Their bloody mary was fantastic as was the oyster bar. For under a hundred for 2 it was great. The seafood omelette with lobster bisque was very good as was the tiramisu pancakes. Props to those who suggested it. We both thought that for shrimp and oysters and other breakfast fare it was fantastic. Was a nice change to the Reef in Long Beach where we normally do our sunday brunch. If you happen to check that out make sure you sit in Augies section. He is almost worth the price of admission.
We went and walked around Brea afterward and they were having a cool Dr Seuss exhibit nearby that was fun to check out.
