i've had coq au vin and enjoyed it.


i have also tasted the spotted dick at the old ship(one of my favorite places to go for beer). meh.

i love coq au vin, it's fun to make, too!

also love the olde ship! but i'm not too hot on their desserts. trifle is one of my fav desserts and even their trifle ain't too grand. i go for their selection of beers, fish and chips, and chicken pie.

coq au vin rules. i sometimes make it with chicken when i'm lazy.


and the ship is definitely my spot. i'd go for the beer selection alone, but i can't get myself to not order fish and chips and/or the fritters, but it's soooo bad for you. so i usually share and get a salad.

lolz! i know what you mean, it totally isn't good for you! i don't eat there quite as often as i'd like just because of that. and the portions are huge! i end up with a food coma afterwards even when i take the rest home in a box.
