When we lived in Cali I grew all vegetables. Zucchini, pattty-pan squash, green beans, peppers, cucumbers and corn, which was a huge hit with my family. Now that I live in the Puget Sound I have had real trouble as it doesn't get hot enough to get anything really going. Do a lot of peas here, which grow like wild fire. Got some good zucchini and tomatoes going this year. It is a drag as I really enjoy growing and giving stuff away. We also do well with Rosemary here, which I use in everything. Good luck.
Beings we can get a hard frost anytime until late April, and can get a spell of very hot weather in May, we do the leafy type stuff in fall to beat the frost and avoid the May heat, which would make em bolt.
We have tomatoes, anaheim chiles, strawberries, cilantro, basil, and chives. The herbs died, the chiles have been left on the plant too long so they've turned red. The tomato plant produced some tomatoes and then looked like it was going to die, but I noticed 6 new tomatoes and a few flowers. The chile plant is flowering a ton right now. The strawberries are perfect because they're just in 2 pots, so we don't get a ton of berries, which is good because if we buy strawberries, they go rotten before we finish the basket. So the few berries a week are perfect.

Best year I've ever had for peppers in the 5 years since I started doing this.
We weren't able to have a garden until recently because of our dog. The only thing we have currently is an Asian Pear tree. Thing is only two years old and already producing fist size pears. Next year we're going to culitvate half of the yard with all manner of vegetables and fruits.
I grow potatoes in my ears.
