That looks like a Mexican version of the EL Completo.

Okay, made a breakfast version today. Same method...minus the soaking the dogs in beer for a few hours. I also used Adele's Breakfast Links (turkey/chicken) instead of dogs. Then...here's where the WTF came in...dip them in syrup. Oh yes.

Bacon Wrapped Hotdogs
Alright, who's made them and what did you do. Gonna be making some for 4th of July on the BBQ and have some ideas but figured id see if there were any recommendations from people who've made them before.

I did, make sure to use a griddle over the flames of the BBQ (bacon grease drippings and fire= lots of fire), also make sure to use toothpicks to have the bacon hold onto the hot dog

Did you just do a basic wrap bacon around a hotdog and grill it or did you season it at all? Was thinking about dipping them in Jack Daniels BBQ sauce first. Ive also seen some recipes that slit the dog first and stuff it with cheese or sauerkraut.

El fuego had a thread like this months ago. This is probably my fav food. I just do the old fashioned wrap bacon around the dog and grill them. Ian you are the man for bringing this back!

Ian, I just went straight for it, no seasoning.
