Well, we joined the ranks of Beef Palace shoppers last Friday. What a great place! The girl behind the counter was extremely nice and very helpful. We were able to taste several of the goodies, which we ended up buying including the leanest pastrami I have ever encountered, a wasabi horseradish cheese and teriyaki jerky. From the fresh meats we got a couple of mignons, nice lean stew beef that I won't have to spend hours cutting out tons of fat, ground sirloin that you watch being ground and some sweet sausage which she removed from the casings for me. The filets were so tender and yummy, with their rub only, and the ground beef is now chili. The sausage will be going in a future meatloaf and a lasagna. The stew is a delight for the future as well.

Thanks for the recommendation, everyone. I'm glad we followed it.

last time I was there they had dry-aged ribeye that they pulled out for me (and at the same price as the normal ribeye). wow...it was incredible eating!

I went by today on the way home from the dog beach. I picked up some beef ribs, 2 half chicken breasts and a prime NY strip.

Eating the NY strip steak now and it's the best steak I ever had.

I'm eager to try the ribs, I know the chicken is amazing already since I've raved about it earlier in this thread.

I always grab one of the free giant potatoes on the way out, they are good too.

Remember they have a cash only policy and their ATM didn't work. I was forced to go to the Rite-Aid next door and buy a 12 pack of Newcastle for $11.99. to get cash back.

Oh yeah, I was sure to have them add their house seasoning on everything because it is incredible. Tastes like BBQ potato chip seasoning.

I've lived in hb for 7 years now and always passed by this place. I finally went in yesterday and got 3 lbs of filet mignon and some burger meat for bbqing today and tomorrow. the filet was flinstones sized! it all cost a bit over $60, I'm anxious to see how it'll taste.

service was great as everyone says. they seasoned our filet for us and we got some free potatoes.
the place made me nostalgic for the butcher shop I used to go to with my mom when I was a kid.

I feel weird saying this, but I read reviews of this place on yelp and I'm not the only one, but the guy who helped us was hot. "hello, yes I would like to buy your meat, hot dude!"

anyway, I was more amazed at the selection and service above all else.
