Best BBQ's Beef Ribs Evar!!!!
OK, I just kind of stumbled into this after talking to the butcher today at Von's this afternoon but give this one a try. I've never cooked barbecued ribs but I swear these were the best I ever ate, and I've had my share.
Buy some meaty beef ribs cut into individual ribs. They are usually cheap!
Throw them in a pot and add enough water to cover them by 1/4 inch or more.
Turn on the stove.
Put the pot on the stove. (Prefereably over the part you just turned on).
OK, now chop up some garlic and smash it and throw it in the pot. Add some salt and pepper to taste and maybe some heat like crushed red pepper or cayenne (sp?).
Once it stats boiling check the clock and give it 1/2 hour or so.
After 1/2 hour fire up the grill and get it nice and hot around 500 degrees.
Turn down burners to medium and throw those bad boys on there meat side down to seer them. Open a beer. Leave it for a few minutes to make a nice mark and then flip it over. Finish that beer. Squirt some of your favorite BBQ sauce all over each rib and spread it around, just enough to cover it and then flip it over again and coat the other side with BBQ sauce (I used Sugar Rays honey and something), close the lid and smell the bbq goodness while you open another brew.
Note that BBQ sauce has sugar in it so try and walk the line between heat, charring time and common sense until you get it nice and crusty on both sides.
Add more sauce or just consume as is.
Share the bone with your dog, who will worship you.
