I like Mario Batali's restaurant at the Venetian. Nothing overly fancy, just quality ingredients doing their thing. Combine that with a great bottle of Italian wine and you cannot lose.
The Venetian - Resort, Hotel, Casino.

Scardino's in Torrance and Mama D's in Manhattan and in Hermosa are 2 of my favorites that are ultra Kid friendly.
Mateos doesn't suck either!
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

i'm assuming you mean B&B.
get this... last year at FF, it was L'atelier's 3rd anniversary and the staff was getting a little sweaty crazy because Joël Robuchon was in town to observe and was set to arrive at the restaurant after having dinner... at B&B.
THAT should tell you something.

Olive Garden seems really popular from what I've read here on LGK.
In San Pedro etc, here are some places to try:
Sorrentos- true family style place and has been here for years. Very kid friendly
Marcello's Tuscany Room- NOT KID FRIENDLY, but that is okay. On 7th St, right off of Pacific Ave. in San Pedro. Upscale dining for those who want to go, and run by the people who used to run Madeo's down a the Doubletree at the Marina.
Those are two that I would reccommend
FWIW:
Allegria's in Malibu is the best Northern Italian restaurant I've been to in LA. It's on PCH if you want to give it a shot. There might celebs there too if that's your thing and it's not overpriced either.
Their Cheesecake is FANTASTIC and their wine selection is also incredible.
One of my favorites locally is Fritto Misto in Hermosa. They have another location in Santa Monica.
Very good, very fresh ingredients. Casual, family friendly, and very reasonably priced.
Others I like in the area are Mama D's (both MB and HB), Brogino's (on Artesia in North Redondo), and Buona Sera (in the Riviera Village).
