Everything is good from the gnocchi to even the pizza!

Fritto Misto in Santa Monica is a great little place, and you can bring in your own wine. I have always liked C&O's Trattoria, it's a great place, garlic rolls + chianti + pollo linguine marsala!!!

C&O's is also a cool spot for lunch on the weekends, they have very good sangria.

If you like C&O (who doesn't), but don't like the beach "ambiance" (I despise that location - crammed tables, singing at dinner time, UGH), they have a 2nd restaurant - C&O Cucina. It's just further east on Washington Blvd about a block west of Lincoln. Expanded menu from the Trattoria near the beach and a much quieter location.

They are also one of the restaurants with discount coupons on restaurant.com. Recently you could snag a $25 gift certificate for use Sun-Thurs for only $2!

C&O is more about quantity, not quality. There is only one real Italian restaurant on the Westside - Vito's in Santa Monica. The veal, pasta and wine selections are superb. It's also got an upscale mafia vibe to it - capiche?
