Thread: Best Pizzas in the USA

The best pizza I ever had was when I was a kid and they were rectangular from some place near PCH and Alameda. The sauce was incredible and it was kind of crunchy on the bottom. Th pepperonis were yummy too. I wish I could find another one like that someday.

I can't stand deep dish Chicago style pizza, too much damn sauce.

Could this be Tony's Pizza in Placentia? If so, it's my favorite local pizza place. My vote is for Lombardi's in New York and Lou Malnati's in Chicago.

The Boston Pizza in Vegas was the same parent company, cuz if you look at the top of the page there's a link for the Boston Pizza Canada site. They were going by Boston's in the US. Either way, my sister says the Vegas location is closed and the website doesn't list them as having locations in Nevada so I'm guessing my sister is right. My friends and I ate at a Boston Pizza in Canada, it wasn't awesome, it wasn't horrible.

The best pizza I've had in Las Vegas is at Northside Nathan's (Flamingo and Ft. Apache or Buffalo and Lake Mead). My sister does have a Fox's Pizza right by her and she likes it if they're getting pizza delivered. I still haven't tried it though but maybe the next time I go we will.

Around here my family always goes to Domenico's in Belmont Shore for the ground pepperoni (sometimes ground pepperoni ground sausage combo) pizza with a side of the special creamy garlic dressing for dip. Every time my sister comes in from Vegas, that's the only place she'll want to go eat. My uncle that passed away last week had been going there since he was in high school so 40+ years. Every time they would come in from Oregon, the same thing, we had to go to Domenico's.

The only other place everyone likes to go is Downey Pizza Co for the pastrami pizza with cheese, pastrami, mustard, and pickles.

Well here is a pizza place that all of you in Los Angeles should know about. Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria home of the 36 inch pizza. They started opening locations here in Las Vegas. I do like the sauce and they do deliver to your home.

Indeed. I can't really enjoy this type of pizza/pie.

If you guys are in West LA I highly recommend Lamonica's Pizza in Westwood. They're dough is flown in from NY city.

If you're in NY I highly recommend Lombardi's Pizza in Little Italy. They still use coal ovens and fresh buffalo mozarella.

Last but not least, I think the best way to measure a pizza joint is by having a slice of their cheese pizza. The dough znd the sauce are really easy to grade this way.
