Best Salmon ever
Picked up some Chinook salmon over the weekend and while Chinook isnt nearly Copper River in Quality this was the best salmon Ive ever had.
I used the Chef Paul Salmon Magic and applied liberally. Right before cooking I appiled another coating of the Salmon Magic. I then cooked it on a Cedar Plank and threw in some additional chips for good measure. Easily the best Salmon Ive ever had. I actually prefer Halibut to be quite honest but after this I have to say I cant wait to cook it again.
I am not a big fan of salmon, but I gotta say Hip, that looks damn tasty!
That looks really tasty. I'm not real confident with cooking fish of any kind...but I loves me some BBQ salmon, so I'll have to make an effort this summer to master it. Is that seasoning available in regular ol' markets?
I bought mine online at the Chef Paul website.
On that note-all of the powdered seasonings are amazingly good but the marinades are horrible. The Risottos and Rices are very good as well.
Magic Seasoning Blends
There's a place in Minnesota called Kendall's, it's a family place up north I believe, and they have the best smoked salmon in the world. My family goes there all time, and when I visit, I always have to go there. I think you can actually order it online and have it shipped. I would highly recommend checking it out. I'll see if I can find a web site... Alright no website, but here's the info:
Russ Kendall's Smoke House
149 Scenic Highway
Knife River, MN 55609
Minnesota is like a mini Scandinavia. I'm sure the smoked salmon there is killer.
