Fish Co. in Los Alimitos is most awesome for fresh fish.I dont buy it anywhere else. They claim to have the worlds greatest clam chowder, I ve had clam chowder from the east coast to the west coast ,and agree thiers is the best!
If a ram is a sheep and a mule is an ass,why is a ram in the ass a goose?
Under the Casino in the Four Queens in downtown Vegas is one of the best steakhouse secrets in Vegas. Well known by the locals, Hugo's Cellar. Very, very good. Entree prince includes a salad made at the table. Great for a date as each lady gets a long-stem rose too.

its not in LV or LA... but if you ever want a real nice & good dinner in the San Diego area go to
Donovan's of La Jolla... its on the top 10 for best restaurants in San Diego, took my wife for our 1st wedding anniversary, the place was excellent, service was amazing, a little pricey but well worth it for a great meal & great dinner for a special occasion
Best Steak House around is Mastro's Ocean Club in Newport Coast. Miguel the Manager there makes sure every steak that comes out is immaculate. The service has no peers and the views and ambiance are amazing. Did I mention they have live music nightly in their lounge? Also, their drinks are stiff and tasty. Almost forgot to mention, that the seafood is just as good as the meat. If you go, you must get the Seafood Tower appetizer. Your life wont be the same. Also, the other couple Mastro locations (Beverly Hills, Costa Mesa, Scottsdale) are good, but the Newport Coast locations blows them away. There are very few restaurants I can guarantee night in and night out, and this is one of them.
Enjoy my dining companions...
The Palm in downtown LA is very good for steak and lobster as well. The seafood at Calncy's in Glendale is pretty damn good too. Had myself some king crab legs for lunch today.
I'm here in Vegas and was looking at the craft menu and it looks like they've added the small plates menu in the bar. I can get me a 6 oz filet with 2 sides for $34 or a hangar steak with sides for $17.
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino : Craftsteak Steak House
Definitely give it a try and report back.
I have now been to craft in L.A. twice, but the restaurant only not craftbar.
Craft, while a bit pricey, was some of the best food I have ever had. For the main restaurant (at least in L.A.) go in a group of 4 and share EVERYTHING!!!
