what a cluster**** of a lease issue. The Music Box is closing because of that.

Blue Palms has been a great part of the LA beer society. the wench and I are going there later today (after the game) to show support.

****, that sucks! Luckily there are some other great beer bars around but BP closing it's doors is a big blow. Hopefully they find a new spot soon.

I heard about this. I was dining at the W hotel & was walking around the area when I saw this. I hope they find a new venue. Lots of luck to them!

place was packed. an hour wait for a table. but the beers kept flowing. yet what remains to be seen is the demise of the establishment as they are still working, or better yet fighting, to keep the place open.

if you have seen Sierra Nevada's The Dude, get it. you won't regret.

The Dude? Haven't seen it but I would've bought it just for the name. The good thing is the craft beer world is still expanding so I would think it's just a matter of finding a good spot and BP can keep the business running. There's only a few other bars I know of that have the selection as well as awesome food that BP does/did, so the market isn't saturated at this point.

the Dude is the dark red ale. you see that I'm not a big fan of red ales, but this one was pretty good. apparently The Dude is the most recent release by Sierra Nevada as the rep from there brought a keg to BP last night and shared it with all the participants as a thank you for supporting BP.

as of now, BP is still open today, but what's still the most uncertain is the 11th hour tonight.

I really like seeing shows at The Music Box; hope they re-open soon. Have been to Blue Palms twice and it was great. I hope they can work it out.

BP was, and still is, open tonight.

as of yesterday, the property owner has been very fair and understanding, and has agreed to let BP as well as The Music Box next door to remain open for the "next 2-3 weeks". in this time there will have been talks over renewing the lease and such. in the meantime, Goldenvoice has moved forward and promoted several concerts to take place at TMB all this month.

all in all, a good day for the tenants. and their customers.
