    ah. cornichons. i got a couple jars of those in my abode. expensive f***ers those are (if you get the not too sweet french made ones). my friends came over once and ate almost a whole jar while they were drinking...

    Yeah, I get mine in the Russian store, and they're not too sweet.

    For the record, in the Russian tradition they don't have to be the little tiny ones, and you can't go wrong with the brined ones, lightly-brined or marinated ones, it's just I happened to pick those particular ones, and they went great.

    What I also like once in a while is brined or marinated tomatoes as chasers instead of, or alongside the pickels. Sorry, Kat!
