For a nice mellow buzz, I'll have a couple glasses of wine.
Otherwise, it's Bushmills on the rocks, baby!

For the record, in the Russian tradition they don't have to be the little tiny ones, and you can't go wrong with the brined ones, lightly-brined or marinated ones, it's just I happened to pick those particular ones, and they went great.

What I also like once in a while is brined or marinated tomatoes as chasers instead of, or alongside the pickels. Sorry, Kat!
Where's this store at? I wouldn't mind getting my lady some treats next time i'm in LA. She's Ukrainian so she loves her vodka straight.
I've always liked olives, stuffed with garlic or plain when drinking shots of vodka.

For me, my best buzz comes from Scotch. I've been drinking wine more recently too so about half a bottle of Merlot or Syrah is perfect for me.

I'm here for the beer. I don't even want to get started on the hard stuff.

If you're in LA, just go to the corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica and walk into any store that sells food.

ya, speaking of fairfax, this place has a lot of imported french & euro food (including cornichons):

    MRMARCEL.COM

the fairfax location at the grove has more stuff than the 3rd street promenade does.

i usually just buy this one at the regular store:

or my mother in law gets these for me through mail order where she gets her other euro food:

I stopped at The Pig N Whistle recently on my way to Hollywood/Highland.
Hollywood/Highland is a nightmare and I needed to have a quick meeting with Don Julio before going in.
The bartendress there had brought the cinnamon and oranges from home for a couple of her Aussie regulars and I just happened to show up at the right time.

It's good! It's not conveniant or anything but it's really good!

I know the mall that it's in. Before one opened near me I used to go to the L&L Hawaiian BBQ there, lol.

Went with my girl today, she loved it. She usually headed up to LA to get her fix.
