Thread: Brown Baggin' It

So my wife is now "self employed", which means I have to start bringing my lunch to work every day. For those of you that brown bag it, what do you like to bring for lunch? I'll be sick of the standard Sandwich (Tuna/Pastrami/Turkey) very soon...

mix it up with roast beef and muenster or some PB&Js. We usually cook enough food the night before so that we can have leftovers the next day for lunch. works pretty good and usually tastes better then ham on cheese.
We save a lot of money this way to spend on nice weekend dinners or entertainment. good times,

I'm with Alex. Cook enough the night before so that you have leftovers. I like to bring Cashews or Almonds, fruit, and yogurt to work with me along with whatever "meal" I bring whether it be a sandwich of some sort or leftovers.

i keep it simple with sammys, but lately ive gotten into the lean cuisine paninis, those are pretty solid

add in some baked lays, a fruit cup of some sort and you're done!
My usual lunch.

i'm "self employed" also, so hubby brings leftovers or roast beef sandwiches to work. today, he packed some leftover home made mac N cheese that i made off a martha stewart recipe.

other times, partners take him out to lunch maybe one or two days a week.

Thank God they buy me lunch here at work.

But I spent years eating fresh ground peanut butter and all natural hippy jelly on health food store bread.

I never got sick of it.

Fortunately I work close enuff that I am able to drive home for lunch. But when I do "brown bag" it, it too basically comes down to turkey sandwhiches or leftovers. But I do make sure to include a soda wrapped in foil paper. It reminds me of field trips as a kid.

As for the sandwhich I like to go with variety pack turkey, provolone cheese, pepperoni and italian dressing all on a deli roll.

I was thinking of trying Lean Cuisine, but didn't know they had these paninis. They look pretty damn good, thanks for the suggestion!
