Thread: Budweiser American Ale

Any one try it, seen it in stores? Saw it at the Fair but was out with little kids, so I passed on the beer. I have only heard good stuff about it, but haven't seen it in stores.

I really don't expect much from it, but I am eager to try it. Their Shock Top isn't all that bad, so maybe this one will be okay.

It pains me to say it, but you are right - Shock Top ain't that bad.

I won't buy a 6'er of the American Ale but will be willing to take a sip if one is ever offered.

you do know that A-B had gone Belgium after being bought out by InBev?

tried it at the fair...not bad at all. The sad truth is that budweiser has one of the greatest beers in the world in BareKnuckleStout which they cannot bottle for some stupid reason...anyway, the new ale is quite nice.

I wouldn't spend my money on anything Buttwiper brews. But if someone is passing the bottle around, I'll taste it.

I bought a 6'er

Much better than I expected, but nothing to right home about. I would give it about a 7.0. It tasted like a cross between Sam Adam and Red Tail Ale.

If I am at a restaurant with a very limited beer selection...I would order this before Heineken
