    Default California Beer Festival

Beer fest comes to Claremont. Have to love a beer fest within walking distance from my house. Beer, music, food and stagger home.

Went to this today. Started off on a bit of a low note, gates opened at 12:30, but they didn't open the taps until 1:00. Wouldn't have been bad, if they actually had some places serving food. Despite a lot of restaurants as sponsors, only one BBQ place serving food. High light of the beers, the 10-10-10 by Stone, and the Yeti from Great Divide. Really nice.

Despite being almost im my backyard, saw only a couple of people I knew. The brewmaster from JT Schmids is a former neighbor, so it was nice to catch up with him. If i ever decide to tolerate the Ponda, I might stop by his place.

Not a perfect event, but once the beer was flowing it was pretty good...nice entertainment, and a nice variety of beers. Probably sampled 30 different brews.
