I'd be down for this. The fun part about Chili is getting it flavorful enough for the critics without (rudely) overheating the general public.

Again...when and where. I'd be happy to set this up but I'm kind of further South than most LGKers.

I think the #1 thing we need to arrange is a venue. Anyone have a large backyard or something able to host such an event. I'd totally be down for something like this, however i would not be able to host it. Anyone live anywhere that has a "clubhouse" or something we could rent out for the day?
BYOB is a must. Moochers = FTL.
People that bring cheap beer and drink everyone elses good beer = we will hang you from your eyelids and beat you like a pinata!
Beer trading, however = FTW.

The douchebags that show up with keystone (or equivelant) and drink up all the Heiny's, guiness, and other like premium beers make me pissed. Bringing anything less then a standard domestic (coors, bud, miller) to anything thats not a high school or college party is just low budget anyway. Here's my thoughts:

IN ADDITION AN EXCHANGE RATE OR POINT SYSTEM MUST BE IN PLACE AT ALL TIMES TO PREVENT GUESTS FROM DRINKING MORE QUANTITY THEN THEY ARRIVED WITH (as briefed by lososaruas) ie: bringing a 6 pack of generic domestic only entitles you to a total of 6 points, whereas a 6 pack of premium entitles you to 12; "special" brew's worth is to determined by its rarity and cost.
IT IS ALSO CONSIDERED A "DICK MOVE" TO TAKE THE LAST BEER OF A PARTICULAR BRAND/TYPE THAT IS NOT YOUR OWN.
ALL BEER BROUGHT BY ANYONE IS PROPERTY OF THE HOST; YOU MAY NOT TAKE IT HOME AFTER SAID GET-TOGETHER UNLESS THE HOST ALLOWS YOU TO-- HOWEVER YOU MAY NOT ASK.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO SHOW UP EMPTY HANDED YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DISCUSS A MONITARY ARRANGEMENT PRIOR TO ARRIVING SO THE HOST AND OTHERS CAN BE SURE QUANTITY WILL NOT BE COMPRIMISED. SHOWING UP EMPTY HANDED WITHOUT THIS ARRANGEMENT ENTITLES YOU TO PAY MORE THEN THE BEERS COST AND NO MORE THEN 5 BEERS WITHIN THE FIRST 3/4 OF THE EVENT AS TO ENSURE THE RESPONSIBLE GUESTS DONT RUN OUT-- MAYBE NEXT TIME YOU'LL THINK AHEAD, STUPID.
MAN LAW? lol
