so i'm back from the inlaws and this is what we had:
christmas eve - traditional réveillon dinner (the kind french people have just after midnight mass): boudin sausage with apples and mashed potatoes. paired with louis jadot beaujolais.
christmas lunch - ham from costco (which was really good because it wasn't too salty), roasted potatoes, cranberry & pear relish, brussel sprouts, yorkshire pudding and a green leaf/mandarin orange salad. paired with a jadot pinot noir. dessert was a bűche that my mother in law makes every christmas.
all the above is comfort food to me... damn, i wish xmas wasn't over. :(
I've eaten like 20 tamales over the past 3 days. It's the food you NEVER get sick of.
Had shabu shabu for my Christmas dinner. :)
