The one out here STILL isn't open yet. Initially it said "Summer '08". What the **** is taking so long???????? :hairout: I need frickles dammit, before I shank a fool!!!!!

A place called jimmy burger joint just opened up on that corner, across the street from the Ralphs center. Looks like a Counter copy cat. Here is a video and a 2 for 1 coupon. Hopefully I can get down there before the coupon expires(3-2-09)

Which center?

I am assuming it's the one across Irvine Ave from the Ralphs and across 17th from La Cave

Am I correct?

I work pretty close to there. I might hit it up very soon. Good looking out with the coupon!

That's it, in that little strip mall. I might be down there next Wednesday for lunch, if I go I'll post a review.

it is most excellent for sure!

Been there a few times and it's legit. I am big fan of a good burger here and there and I like the "gourmet" angle as well.

A bit pricey IMO but still very good overall.

So I finally went to the one in El Segundo on Monday for dinner before heading off to the game against the Thrashers.

Got a 1/3 burger, beef with Danish blue cheese, red onions, tomatoes, and mixed greens with a garlic aioli sauce. Sweet potato fries on the side and a strawberry shake.

Burger was cooked medium rare and was really good. The blue cheese overtook much of the flavoring, so the garlic aioli was sort of a waste. Very good burger overall. The fries were awesome and the shake was great.

Place is pricey, so it won't be a regular stop, but definitely will be going back.

So we went to the Counter in Irvine today. I had the 2/3lb turkey burger in a bowl, with tomatoes, red onions, sprouts, cheddar cheese, bacon, and bbq sauce on a bed of lettuce. Split an order of fries with my wife (who had the 1/3lb veggie burger and loved it).
Only regret was the sprouts, which tasted like a mixture of grass and dirt, otherwise an excellent meal and I won't feel like eating again for a couple of days.
