Gotta admit that is one DAMN FINE burger. Lived up to the hype. Thick, and cooked medium rare and bloody, it was more like a ground steak. VERY buttery taste.... must've sauteed in it or something.

Everything was super fresh. Bun was tasty (also buttery). Sweet potato fries w/ spicy thousand island dip were PERFECT. Fried pickles (which I was extremely excited about) weren't the best I've had, but I'll give 'em a second chance next time. Regular fries were good, but nothing remarkable. Onion rings EXACTLY like Tony Roma's. With bbq sauce. Greasy, but fine by me.

This is NOT fast food. Looks like it at a glance, but quality of ingredients, pricing, and a full bar say otherwise. Treated a close buddy (who is going through a tough divorce and needed to vent) for a leisurely dinner, and it set me back 95 bucks tip included. That was two 1/3 lb burgers, one side-order sampler, one apple crumble a la mode...... but 7 beers and a jack-rocks between us. A little shocked when the bill came, but it was a good night.

I'll go back soon. Best burger in town. The lines out the door concur.

Be sure to go to the Counter in March and try the Korean BBQ sauce on a burger. It's the sauce of the month. Best sauce they have IMO

Thanks - I'll try to get there before the month is out.

Edit... I just looked at the menu for the month. Fried pineapple? That could be really good or really gross. I'm intrigued but a little frightened.

Tried it in San Jose. I'd definitely go back - good stuff!

I went with the Turkey burger...I believe honey wheat bun (?)
    pepper jack cheese
toppings: roasted corn salsa, red peppers, chilies, and.....um....don't remember the 4th?!! (whatever it was, it was good)
    sauce: spicy sour cream

    YUM!

I went to the Counter in El Segundo on Saturday.

    Good times!

Nothing better than having a big burger that tastes spectacular with an Arrogant Bastard in the sun.
The sweet potato fries were good, but I've had better. Still a great expirence though.

Tried their Turkey burger a few days ago and was NOT impressed. The meat was big.... but dry, boring, and even worse - old-tasting. Couldn't finish it before grossing out.

Guess that'll learn me not to go to a burger joint and try and eat healthy. Duh?

Every time I have been, I get the beef. Sounds like that's the best plan.
