albertsons was selling frozen lobster tails at $3.99 for 6oz tail

Captain Kidds in Redondo was selling for $22.99/lb for fresh.

any other price reports? Ideally fresh lobster would be great.

also, do you have a lobster cooking recipe? especially a lobster bisque recipe, please! I don't think I've ever cooked lobster before.

made emeril's corn and lobster bisque last night and it was quite awesome, I must say.

Corn and Lobster Bisque Recipe : Emeril Lagasse : Food Network

I would like to know better ideas on how to cook the tails though. cooked 4 6ozers at 400 for 9 minutes or so...almost felt like I overcooked them (brushed with butter and lemon squeezed on). hard to tell when you don't eat lobster very often.

I LOVES me some lobster. In the past. About 15 years ago, I developed an allergy with most shellfish that I didn't have for the first 25 years of my life. I don't know why. It sucks. :(

Enjoy all of the good prices, everyone! And have a grilled tail or two for me.

I steam mine, steam time depends on weight, seems to work well.

Somewhere, I have a recipe for lobster pasta with a creamy herb tomato sauce. I made it as the first course of a Christmas Eve 5-course dinner a couple years back...best meal I've ever made. I could definitely go for that pasta again, too. The recipe is packed away somewhere in storage though. DAMMIT.
