I had no idea the truck was retired. I guess I'll be driving to the SGV soon.

So what's the consensus on the best burger in LA?
I like Umami. I really like Father's Office. Slater's 50/50 is good.
As for fast food burgers you can't go wrong with In n Out but I'll take a Douglas Burger (the one on Cherry between Artesia and South) over just about anything else.

The Friendly's in my home town outside of Boston opened when I was in junior high. It replaced locally-owned Roma's Pizza and the Sunshine Dairy as the place to hang after school. 2 cheeseburgers and a chocolate Awful Awful (later called a Fribble) was my standard order.

Sadly, fast food burgers soon drove Friendly's out of business.

You guys ever tried a juicy lucy?
What sets him apart is that he’s big, and he can skate, and he can protect the puck from anyone. If you’re trying to get it and he doesn’t want you to get, you’re not going to. -Justin Williams on Kopitar Click 4 LGK INTERNET RADIO ARCHIVE
