Thread: Father's Office

I've been hearing about the burger at Father's Office in Santa Monica for at least 4 years & finally today I tried it. Is it the best ever? No but it's pretty damn good. The meat is dry aged beef & it's got blue & gruyere cheese, carmelized onions, & arugula among other things that I don't remember. Anyway I'm sure others have tried it & I wanted to see what other people's take on it was.

I love their website, heh. I've never been. Some day...

It is a good bar with some great beers, unfortunately when it is busy the space does not allow for a comfortable chat with friends.

This. Try to get their early (before 6pm) or late (after 9pm). I prefer the Culver city location myself because I think it may be a tad bit bigger than the Santa Monica location.

I prefer the one at the old Helm's Bakery on Venice. The burgers are the best and I love the sweet potato fries but the potato ones in the shopping cart are great too. The beer selection alone is worth the trip.

Actually, I tried to go there a few years ago but when I walked in the place was wall to wall with nowhere to even stand, much less sit. So I left without trying anything. That's why it took so long to go there, plus I don't live or go to school in the area anymore.

I say there is something very wrong with people who go to a bar for the food instead of the booze. These people are douche nozzles and they bring down my bender.

I guess you haven't tried the burger. It's very well known in writeups and on the Food Network, etc. And trust me, I had my share of beers. And no offense taken.

There are some bars that do really good food.

Just saying.
