Fettucini Alfredo

Call me crazy, or just plain simple, but IMO, The Olive Garden's Alfredo recipe is awesome. I have had many variations of the traditional Alfredo, but for some reason I find myself gravitating back to their recipe.

Please post your favorite place to endulge in a rich plate of Fettucini Alfredo.

You're crazy. And just plain simple.

But...if you must...make it yourself at home. It's fun and easy:

Olive Garden's Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients:
1 pint heavy cream
1 stick butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese - (to 3/4)
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Cooking Directions:
In a saucepan combine butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Simmer this
until all is melted, and mixed well. Add the Parmesan cheese and Garlic
powder. Simmer this for 15 to 20 minutes on low. You may wish to season
with a little salt and pepper. It has been made with half-and-half, but
heavy cream is preferred.

Best I've had was actually at The Fours in Boston....a sports bar. Certainly better than any Italian place, but then again I don't really have refined taste.
