Personally, the lower the health grade is for a small ethnic food joint, the better I know the food's gonna be. There's a Chinese place across from the New Beverly Theater... it's about 1/4 of the reason I go out to see movies with adgy out there.

I bet those tacos kick all kinds of ass.

I don't get the taboo about eating street food here. Other countries live by it. Some of the best food has been on a street somewhere in London, San Jose (Costa Rica) and Michoacan Mexico. And i've been sober.

Not yet. There is a dude by my buddy's house but he's right up next to USC. I'd rather have some raspados. The ones at Raspado Express are pretty good. They use actual fruit in their syrups. Their tosti-locos take me back to drunken binges in TJ and Playa Azul. Good times...

I'm shocked there's isn't a thread already out there about Food Trucks... I keep lobbying the good ones to set up shop around Staples before games, give us some reasonable variety. That square just south of Staples, the one we are to evacuate to looks perfect for pre game trucks....

and one of the specialties is the Baco Taco....
Thick bacon interlaced into a Taco Shell, with lumpy mashpotatoes and cheese inside with horseraddish/sour cream dip!

After watching the food truck race on the food network I really want to try some of them because the food looks delicious. I live in OC so there aren't many quality food trucks around except for thursdays at the fair grounds, but it's hard for me to get out there. I would love for some of the food trucks to be outside staples before or after a game but I doubt AEG would allow this.
