so i found out the hard way that TJ, ralph's and albertson's don't carry custard. had to make it myself for a trifle i wanted to make.
it's messy looking, but tastes delicious and is a great way to use up leftover cake... i had used a cake mix to make 12 cupcakes for my daughter and there was leftover batter so it went in a pan for a trifle for me and the husband.
basically a mixture of custard, cake cut into cubes, cherries, blackberries and sherry topped with whipped cream.

heh, that's what it said on the menu. i'm guessing it was kept alive in a tank and then sliced/murdered right before it was plated. tasted pretty fresh to me.

oh i know it. this place is asian food for white people. just fancy/fusion versions of old country dishes and flavors.

sounds like a PF Changs...hate that place, only reason I go is because I have some family and friends that have Celiac so gluten-free places are a must.
