I took my wife out for her birthday yesterday to the Foundry on Melrose for dinner last night.
It is owned and run by Chef Eric Greenspan who unlike a lot of places owned by a "celebrity chef"(he has been on and won Iron Chef America against Bobby Flay) was actually in the kitchen working on the food that was prepaired for us.
The food was fantastic. We had Rib Eye as well as an Aspargus appetizer and the Beet salad. With a couple of cocktails each it still came to around $150.00
One nice thing we did not know is that they do allow you to bring 2 bottles of wine without charging a corkage fee. ($10.00 per bottle for the 3rd or more)
Only drawback is parking in the area.
