I'm still a hearty fan of the Max Burger at Grand Lux in the Beverly Center. When it's cooked right, it's quite possibly the best one in the vicinity.

After trying a foie gras topped burger at Les Halles in NY, I decided that while I do love burgers and foie gras, to my taste they're better enjoyed separately.
