Manhattan or Hermosa (now in Torrance)? Ive always gone to the Hermosa/Torrance and i get nothing but great service.
D Plate (Steak Teriyaki) w/ grilled onions and a extra side of Mac salad w/ a good portion of Sriracha mixed in. Thats my jam right there.
I went to Back Home in Lahaina once and hated it.
any good spots in the san gabriel valley? i've only tried L&L.
Hermosa.
I honestly think this place is way better than L & L, we should hit it up sometime (i know its awkward that it is both chinese food and Hawaiian but both foods are really good there)
China Bowl Express & Young Hawaiian BBQ - Norwalk, CA
This thread makes me wish I were in Lahaina. Of course if I were in Lahaina id probably be working as a waiter at Bubba Gumps.
L&L = LOL. Even out here it's steaming (or in their case barely lukewarm and biologically hazardous) dog bleep. Literally the worst food on the island. I've seen homeless turn down leftovers.
The only good L&L was in Monrovia before they disappeared.
The one is Pasadena is really bad. Same food chain, very different quality.
L&L in Norhtridge has always been pretty decent, I think...but then again I don't know any better.
Someone suggest somewhere else in the San Fernando Valley and I'll try it out.
We'll be in Lahaina (technically Honokowai, but close enough) in May. We have an L&L here in Simi and it gets me by until our yearly trip to the islands.
