Thread: Guinness launches "new" drink!

Rinkrat, FOR SHAME!!! Guinness, as good as it is, is about as tame as it comes in the world of stouts. If I see this I'll give it a whirl.

Yeah their are the Dogfish Head World Wide Stouts of the world, but there are tamer Stouts than Guinness.
Most Oatmeal Stouts would fall in to that category.

I have always found Guinness to be horrible, but I would sample this one to see what 7.5%ABV does for it. That is quite hefty for a macro, therefore driving my curiosity......

I am guessing you don't like the bitter moss they add. Because I know that you like other stouts. They added a stronger bittering agent to this.

I had a sample of this right off the line at The Storehouse in Dublin. Yummy!! Make sure you don't serve it too cold or much of the taste will disappear.

Is that what gives it the taste of soy sauce? If so, then yes - I don't like the bitter moss.

it absolutely is.

Malt, hops, water, or yeast aren't going to cause that.

And this is why I keep you telling that you that you need to brew your own man!

Guinness is overrated.
