I like Guy, screw you guys!

Guy is a douchetard?? I disagree. Yes, he may be overly enthusiastic and a bit over the top. So is Rachel Ray. Her catch phrases and seemingly forced giggles can be annoying. That's called a personality. After all, isn't that what they are, television personalities?

But I'd rather watch Guy Fieri every minute for a year than Ted Allen, Eric Ripert, Hubert Keller, or Anthony Bourdain every year for a minute.

I have no desire, no aspirations, no fantasy of becoming some classical French trained chef. But DAMN would I love to cook/eat some of the recipes I've seen on his shows! I'll take your "douchetard" with personality ANY day over pompous, egotistical, self-aggrandising pricks.

Like Ted Allen, Love Boudain's No Reservations show.

I agree he is an annoying guido but I also agree with the others. Guys Big Bite and Triple D are the type of food I eat and make. Best shows on Food Network are the ones he does. I have no interest in what he does outside of the food biz.


And thank god he isn't Alton Brown. I don't understand the fascination lgk has with him.

I only like Good Eats. I enjoy the Mr. Science meets Julia Child style of the show. For instance, one episode he was talking about something deep fried and explained that if the oil wasn't hot enough, it doesn't cause the water molecules in the food to become steam and keep the oil from soaking into the food or something. At least then I knew why some of my food seemed greasy and heavy!

Anton Brown is annoying as all hell.

Know who actually bugs me ALOT? The guy from Man vs. Food.
