I see that GF has featured Gaffey St. Diner. I'll give him a pass. I like their breakfasts.

That John Wayne Breakfast at the Gaffey Street Diner is something.
BTW, this is my next stop in visiting all the DDD featured restaurants in the southland:
North End Caffe | Home
Definately not a burger place...
Oh god those Kahlua Pig Monte Cristo Egg Rolls looked heavenly.
and 3 pieces for $10 they damn well better be.
As a Pedro resident, when I am getting off the freeway on Sunday morning/afternoon, it pisses me off that Gaffey St Diner has not painted the curb red in front of the place cause of the ass hats who park there and block the traffic lane ....F them in the A
The quality of GSD has gone down a little since they expanded and opened for dinner. Personally, I think Omelette and Waffle Shop PWNS Gaffey Street Diner. (if you do not believe me, ask Mateo)
If the guy a douchetard, yep, he looks at some cool places that are not 4 stars and brings them publicity for what they do well. That is cool, but he is too over the top. Like Ian said, he is no Alton Brown
Guy has looked like Guy long before Ed Hardy came on the scene...if you took 2 minutes to actually watch his story instead of starting threads about how lame he is you would know this....
and if some douche links a wikipedia about when Ed Hardy was founded, I'll break a pencil right in half...
Jay Bee's Thanks You for Stopping In
Stopped by here after seeing it on Guy's show.
Had the Pulled Pork sandwich and a couple of sides - the pork was extremely tender and the sauce was terrific. If it was close to my house, I'd be a regular.
I brought the food home to Long Beach to find that the food doesn't travel well since there are copious amounts of sauce and steam from the pork - by the time I got home the bun was soaked and basically useless.
Tasted great, though.
Next time, I'll eat there (see picture) at one of the picnic tables; it ain't Lutece, but I'd bet Lutece doesn't have a Guy Fieri poster on the patio wall.
