Harris Ranch Beef at Henry's
I was driving up the 5 recently. When drove by Harris Ranch and saw the cows I thought "I want to eat one of you". I was at Henry's yesterday and as luck would have it they now carry Harris Ranch steaks. The Butcher went and cut me 2 perfect Rib eyes. Hands down the finest meat I have ever bought at any store.
I highly recommend you head to a Henry's and try a steak. I think the Harris Ranch stuff is all in the glass butcher case.

Not to get off subject from the steaks, but I just went to Henry's last week and bought chicken stuffed with asparagus and jack cheese.
Friends, this was the best item I've ever bought at Henry's meat counter; baked it for thirty minutes. Ate it with some white rice. Holy smoke! Delicious!
I'll have to try the steak there.

KJ, did you ever stop at Harris Ranch? When my sister lived in Davis we'd make a point to stop there. The food is incredible.
Also, Costco has Harris Ranch steak at a far more reasonable price than Henry's.

Costco? Really? Ours out here doesn't carry Harris Ranch beef, but a local Asian market does and has for quite a while. The thin-sliced shabu-shabu or yakiniku packs have been hit-and-miss but I think it has more to do with the market itself which I'm SURE mislabels things, and can at times put stuff out that probably shouldn't be for sale. But at best the H.R. beef itself has been GREAT. It's super tender, and has a REAL nice buttery taste, so I'm guessing that it's corn-fed. Didn't know they had a restaurant, but even the store-bought USDA choice has been impressive so I'll bet the prime-grade they serve in their own place is heavenly.
