It was open last night.

Met up with some other LGKers there.

It was too crowded, so we went to ESPNZone, which was also crowded, but we were able to snag a table.

Despite the crowds at those places, FSB still looked fully occupied. Noticed as I walked toward LA Live.

Even after hanging out after the game for a while, there was a lot of foot traffic on the street.

There were 18,118 at the Kings game, George Lopez at the Nokia Theater and B.B. King at Club Nokia.

Who knew Staples and LA Live would be such a success...

I was talking to a friend that worked for AEG about this. Apparently Fox Sports Grill had the option of nixing any sports bar type of places at LA Live (ESPN Zone, not the Yardhouse). They gave it the OK. I guess they figure the draw of being right at the arena won't affect business too much. After visiting both, I will continue to frequent the Fox Sports Grill rather than the Yardhouse or ESPNZone. While I love the options of food that each serve, for me the convenience of getting up and taking my drink into Staples with me is worth it. Plus I love the Jimmy Johnson BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Wash it down with a few "wide-awake drunks" (vodka+energy drink) and I'm good to go! I can't get them inside Staples, so I usually order a couple and take them in.

That said, I do like the yardhouse, and liked the ESPNZone's 25oz Newcastle and Guinesss.

I was in AZ last week and went to their location outside of Jobing.com Arena. Quite decent food, and as far as the happy hour pricing, I thought it was a great deal, especially for right after the game. A beer, a martini, a cup of soup and three appetizers came to $35 bucks. I would definitely not mind going to the LAL location after games, chance permitting.

One thing though. F*** parmesan cheese on onion rings.

3 of us got 4 appetizers, one entree, 6 glasses of Delerium and our bill was under $80. They need to add the mac n cheese to their appetizer menu though. Bastards. And the seared ahi appetizer was disgusting. I don't know what their spice rub is for that, but they FAILED. Completely. I nearly spit it out (twss).

Parm + onion rings...that sounds...yuck.

I never did go back for my Young's Chocolate Stout ice cream float though. Maybe this weekend.

The Carvery isn't fancy, so I don't know that you want to do that. Then again, I've never been to Houstons (gasp! I know...) so I don't know what that one's like.

I don't think the Mac and cheese is an appetizer at any Yardhouse.

That's why we usually split it with 3 people(take the price sting a down just a little) Happy Hour price would be sweet though
