I drink anything with it but my preferred spirit is Scotch, single malt preferably but I'll sip on some JW Blue too.

The best combo I've found is a good cup of coffee. As a cigarette smoker I'm sure you've had that before. I hear a lot of guys like soft drinks as the sugar tends to cut any nicotine overload. I'm not much into spirits (yet) but many of my friends will drink whiskey. I myself might try some nice Irish whiskey next time. Usually I'll be sipping on a beer. Crap beer like Bud or MGD can take away from a cigar but a nice quality brew can most definitely add to it!
I've never tried it myself and it does sound a bit out-there, but some guys like to drink chocolate milk with a cigar.

And since this thread has been dug up...
I had a Padron 4000 the other day. It was only the second regular Padron I've had in years. The first one was a long time ago and I remember it being a bit too full bodied for me. But over the years my tastes have changed and I see many guys like Padrons and swear by them so I figured I'd give them another shot.
The cigar was a bit longer than I'd typically like. Usually I go for a robusto, belicoso, or toro size but this seemed a bit longer, perhaps around 6.5~7 inches. The pre-light draw had a note in there that I could not place. It was clear as day but I couldn't really place what it was. It was earthy and a bit "manure" like. I light the cigar up and I'm pleased to find that it's not as full-bodied as I remember. It was not mild by any means but I'd say a solid medium. It gave a few minor burn issues that some touch-ups and purging helped. Overall the cigar was very nice, smooth, and gave enough spice and kick to keep up with the German rauchbier I was drinking (see the recommend a beer thread for details). I'm glad I gave Padron another try and will be stocking up in the future!

picked up a couple drymistat tubes for the humidor to try instead of using the cheap humidifier that came with my humidor.
I also got a new Rocky Patel to try and some more of my standard favorite A. Fuente Hemingway Short Story's.
Picked up
-2x Rocky Patel "Decade" Robusto's
-3x Arturo Fuente "Hemingway-Short Story" Figurado's.

A lot of guys swear by Heartfelt beads Heartfelt Industries, Heartfelt Cigar Humidor Humidity Beads, Heartfelt Beads, Humidors, Quality Cigar Accessories
I have "The Puck", and a few of them in my coolidor. They seem to work okay. I don't smoke as much as I used to but a good Padron and a cup of coffee is absolute bliss. My smoking time gets divided up between cigars and pipes.

I take breaks off and on, during winter I smoke less because I don't want to sit in the cold outside for 1+hours with my preferred robusto sizes. If I have a shorter stick like an AF Hemingway Short Story, an Ashton VSG Enchantment or a Partagas Black Bravo I may brave the cooler weather. I smoke more during the warmer months obviously. I have 6 cubanos that i've been aging over the winter that family brought back for me from overseas...have yet to try them. I don't even know what they are as the bands were removed lol.
