One helluva nice looking box of treats you got too! Yeah, I'll just leave em on if--they've got em. Sure looks and smells cool without though.

On the humidor.... I'm trying to get a proper environment in there before I drop em in, but it's tough that our house is around 80 to 85 degrees inside, with humidity also in the 80's. So I made space in a wine storage unit that is temp set to around 68 and designated for everyday reds, but it developed a little ice and a drip inside that took the humidity WAY up inside the humi. So now moving it from place to place downstairs taking temp and humidity readings with two different digital temp/hygrometers and testing them against one another. Salt tests, room to room, just ****ing around. **** 'N A it's hot out here. I should have it dialed in soon. Kinda fun though. It'll probably end up back in the wine fridge if I can control the drip inside. At least it's cool and fairly consistent in there.

I have problems with heat here in the summer too. The easiest and cheapest way I've found to control the temp is by using an ice chest and those blue ice packs. I change out the packs every morning and it keeps the temp between 65-71 or so throughout the day. When it's really hot I change it in the evening as well. If you take up doing this make sure to leave the lid of the cooler cracked. You need air in there to let the humidor breath.

Not the prettiest thing in the world but it stays in the closet of my spare bedroom during the summer months.

Pretty good idea, Lath. Guess all you'd need is two or three ice packs, and just drop one in and take one out once a day, eh? Actually pretty simple and not a lot of work to save the investment. Cool.

Looks like the wine storage thing might work out. Put the humi in last night, and this morning it was 68% humidity and 66 degrees. Curious to see how it looks when I get home. If it's close to that I'm lovin it.

On a somewhat related note, there was a short-lived cigar-themed video podcast that stars a pretty hot little number. She's supposedly an actress and the videos are written episodes, but they're kind of amusing in a dead-pan sort of way. And did I mention she's hot? You know, in that sort-of bitchy, sarcastic way.
