Thread: Help Bogey become a mixologist

Years ago, I bought a bunch of martini glasses and a shaker thinking I'd use it (among other items) to become a master mixologist or simply a raging alcoholic, whichever came first.

Recently, I purchased and installed some stemware racks, hung up my martini and wine glasses, and am now ready to mix.

Today, I bought Gallo vermouth (dry & sweet) and Costco sized Grey Goose vodka & Bombay gin (sorry K&T).

Five-parts Bombay and one-part Gallo dry later and I'm feeling it!
This is kicking my ass more than anything I've drank from any bar recently.

Help me make this just the tip of the iceberg with your suggestions for future liquid purchases and recipes.

I'd like this to evolve (if you can call it that) to the point where I have one different drink for every night of the week, just like I'd like to have a different woman for every night of the week.

This endeavor appears to be more likely. Heh.

The Webtender - Cocktail & Mixed Drink Recipes and Bartending Guide

Chocolate Honeybee

Ingredients:
1/2 shot Godiva liqueur
1/2 shot Barenjager

Mixing instructions:
Pour Barenjaeger in a shot glass and top with Godiva.


FROZEN TIRAMISU

1 1/2 ounces kahlua
1 ounce amaretto
1/2 ounce tuaca
2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Blend together and top with whiped cream, biscotti, and grated chocolate.

just stock your bar with the basics and keep a nice assortment of mixers on hand and you can make whatever you want whenever you want it.

Target some different martini mixers (apple, mango, cranberry) that you can get and BevMo has a bunch too.

Better get some Rum as well. Whalers if you want to go FooFoo, Appletons is you want to go true.

Here is a drink I used to make when entertaining female guest.

1 Smirnov Ice, 1 Shot Citrus Vodka, 1 Shot Apricot Brandy, Squeeze of Lime.

One of my current faves is...

1 Shot Rum, 1 Shot Baileys, served over ice.

Another one from yesteryear....

The Chocolate Chip Shooter
1 Shot Vodka, 1 Shot Frangelico served up.
