Interesting read! We saw Nobu dining around town a while back when he was opening his restaurant in Waikiki. Faded t-shirt, old jeans, flip-flops, warm smile... seemed like a really cool and down to earth guy. Now I see why. Lots of adversity will make - and keep - you humble and appreciative even after you partner up with the likes of Robert De Niro. Can never forget where you came from.
