Default I love this coffee maker.

I finally bought the Tassimo because I love coffee. And I'm one of those guys that buys something and it loses its luster after a week or so. I have had the Tassimo for three months and I couldn't be happier with it.
It makes espresso, cappuccino, coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The best of all is that it tastes just like what you would get at a Starbucks, because the grind is Starbucks.
The cost of the disks range fro $9 to $12 dollars for 8 to 12 servings. Which is waaaaaay cheaper than Starbucks.

Now you might be saying to yourself, "Why not just by an espresso machine?". To that I respond, I have one and this machine is better.

Perfect cup every time with very little maintenance make this a great device.

Last time I saw, they were on sale at Target for $50. We got ours on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I love this machine and can't imagine my morning without it.

What devices do you guys have (relating to food and drink) that you can't live without now that you own it? And why?

I've been wanting to get one of those for my office, because it seems less messy than a regular coffee maker. I also like the the variety it offers. I have a Starbucks Athena Espresso machine, that has been great. I think I've had it for about 7 years, and it still works as great as it did when I first bought it. It would take a lot to make me give that up, but probably my most indispensible kitchen applaince is my Kitchenaide 6 qt. mixer. Until I can afford to move uo to a large capacity floor mixer, that thing is going nowhere.

I spare you from the lambastation of your choice of coffee (Starbucks, blech!).

I'm totally jealous of my brother (Kingfan) and his sweet coffee rig. He's got one of those automated grind and brew total coffee machines (not the one above). One day I'll get one too. As for now we have a standard Cuisinart 12-cup machine. If I'm feeling frisky I'll break out my Bodum french press.

I was looking around the cabinets and looking at how many coffee mugs we have in this house. Seriously, we could serve an army a cup of java and still have some cups free. I think I have a coffee mug fetish or something. For some reason I keep wanting to buy more and looking at them makes me want to have coffee just to use the mug.

On the Starbucks coffee comment. I use the Gevalia espresso pods and not the Starbucks ones. I was using them as an example of the names that are associated with the machine. I bought some Starbucks pods on sale at BB&B a few weeks back, and the brew is REALLY strong. A bit much for my taste. The Gevalia and Maxwell House do just fine for me.The cool thing about the coffee maker is that it is virtually no maintenance.

I have been wanting to getting a Kitchen Aid mixer with all the cool attachments. Meat grinder, pasta maker, dough mixer hook... you get what I'm talking about.

Ah! I get Gevalia coffee as well! I don't particularly care for dark french roast style coffee, as I enjoy tasting my coffee as opposed to being abused by it.

Kitchen Aid mixers are very nice and very solid. The only bad part is they take up a lot of counter space and since they weigh a friggin' ton they aren't very convenient to store elsewhere and carry out when you need them. Still, they are nice and I recommend them!

For me, one of the greatest aspects of winter is being able to break out the Cocoa-motion.

    i have this:

it's pretty simple, but it does what i want and how i want it pretty quickly.
i used to work at starbucks when i was in college so i know how to make what i like... and no, i don't use starbucks coffee in it.

i also have a bodum french press and a regular drip coffee machine for when i want hawaiian or vietnamese coffee.

+1 on the kitchenaid mixer rec. i like it so much compared to a regular mixer because i can beat or whip things effortlessly and quickly. i have the attachments (juicer, meat grinder, etc) but i haven't used them yet. i've only used the paddle beater for homemade cupcake frosting, i think it was...

LOL I was looking for the picture of Cocomotion before I finished the thread. I love it because the cocoa is better because you can use milk instead of water. Dump the milk in and the cocoa mix and turn it on and it shuts off when it's done.

The bad thing about Cocomotion is the mixing disk part loses its ball-bearings and makes really loud noises when mixing. I e-mailed Mr Coffee and they sent me a new one free, since they don't sell them on the Mr Coffee site.
