Thread: I love Yelp!

what you guys just said is the main reason i read any negative review a place has. if it's just someone being knitpicky about something stupid, then i ignore it. i just wanna know how the food is, peeps.

Yep. Most of the really bad reviews will usually be because of some "one off" service issue -- I usually screen those out because to me it is the food above all else. Still, Yelp is a useful tool if you have proper expectations. Also, if there aren't enough reviews I will cross check with Tripadvisor. Lastly, if I'm not looking for a specific restaurant -- just a category or area -- I find Chowhound to be indispensable.

Chowhound boards is my place to go for restaurant recs. The people there know what the F they are talking about.

Thanks dude, have had the Chicken Parm, its very good but i tend to stick to either a cheesesteak, a turkey sandwich w/ Avocado, or the crispy chicken club w/ bbq sauce.
