Thread: I love Yelp!

Maybe I am lucky but I have good luck finding good places to eat when I travel. Found 3 great places (mexican, pizza, and sushi) in Palm Springs/Palm Desert area.
Found one of the best burgers places in Vancouver, which was in Boys Town!! (Homersimps was familiar with the area). Thanxs Yelp!

I've found a lot of new places with Yelp. When I was in Pittsburgh, found some of the best pizza I have ever had in a nearby town.

Yeah...god bless Yelp. A true godsend.

The occasional ridiculous rating aside, it's proven to be highly useful and pretty damn dependable. Especially on the iPhone - and on vacation.

I only have 2 reviews, but have lurked and used Yelp for a couple years. Just now trying to finally catch up writing and give something back.

what were the places in palm springs/desert? I'm going there in November and would like to try them. I did read yelp reviews for a sushi place in tahoe and everyone on it raved about the tempura cheesecake so I tried it. it was amazing! had I not checked yelp, I probably wouldn't have tried it.

YEah when I wonder about a place I check Yelp and sometimes find out it sucks. On the other hand you check a place like Beef Palace on Yelp and they are ALL raving so you know it's safe. Same goes with Amazon ratings, I can tell whether to buy or avoid by the user reviews that are usually right on.
