Do your self a vafor and make a Beer-in-the-butt Chicken:
•1 whole chicken
•1 can of beer
•2 tablespoons chopped onion
•2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
•3 cloves garlic minced
Preheat smoker. Wash and trim chicken. While the smoker heats up, open the beer and drink half and only half. With a can opener, cut the top of the beer can off. Add onion, vinegar and garlic to beer. When the smoker is ready, place the beer in the middle of the rack. Carefully place the chicken over the beer standing up. You might need to get a little creative to make it stand up properly. Make sure the beer can is completely covered by the chicken. Smoke chicken for about 4 hours or until the skin is a dark tan and the meat is pink and juices run clear.
You can also do a little spice rub on the outside if you're feeling frisky.

Green Onion Powdered Dip mix, fresh cut green onions, *****loads of fresh garlic, and Buttermilk. Let it marinate as long as possible drain the best ya can and sprinkle some type of dry rub on.
It will make one hell of a mess on your grill but it will be worth it.

1/2 cup gold tequila
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (5 to 6 limes)
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (2 oranges)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon minced fresh jalapeno pepper (1 pepper seeded)
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic (3 cloves)
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 whole (6 split) boneless chicken breasts
Refrigerate over night.

Hang with me a second. Go buy a bag of the Doritos "Tacos After Midnight". Using boneless skinless breasts - soak 3-4 breasts in a mix of beer (I use Pacifico) and crushed Doritos for a few hours. Barbeque the breasts, marinating the chicken liberally with the mix every time you turn them.
I like to clice the breasts up and make chix tacos with them.

I don't do a lot of my own marinading of chicken anymore (like the skinless, boneless pre-marinaded Tysons) but I used to do it a lot. The marinades I used a lot and what my family all asked for is anyone of these:
Don't laugh and try one before you discount them. Add olive oil, vinegar and H2O and allow it to soak and you will have a good start. The Southwest and Mesquite were always my favorite.

Soy sauce, fresh garlic, brown sugar, oil, fresh ginger, balsamic. = yummy Teriyaki
Search the net for these ingredients/keywords and you can find different combinations.
