    Default "inexpensive" smoker recommendations?

thinking between 100-200 if possible. obviously that isn't a huge amount for some smokers, but is there anything in that price range that would work?

I remember when I could get an old weber charcoal grill for 40 bucks that I could easily use to smoke stuff with lol.

I got the Silver Smoker from Char Broil a few years ago for $150 at Home Depot and it has worked out great (except for the finish peeling off). I saw it there last year for $160 but didn't see it at all this past summer. You're going to have a hard time this time of year I would expect.

With fall and winter approaching your timing is probably pretty good to pick one up for a great price. Try doing a search on Fat Wallet.Com.

Craigslist is a good idea as well. May as well try Home Depot and Lowes websites....there a good chance they may be clearance items and if you buy online may be able to use some type of coupon code.

Walmart.com: LITTLE CHIEF FRONT LOAD SMOKER: Camping

I used to have one of these and they work great.

I was just talking about this the other day at work. My friend (who is a serious Walmart shopper) said they have good size smokers on clearance for $75.00. I am waiting for a Smokey Mountain 22.5 next spring though.

I agree with kickem. If I ever need to replace my current smoker I am going with that one. You can use it as a smoker or a BBQ. And there is a lot of grill space.

thanks for all the advice guys. I ended up getting this one at home depot last night:

Brinkmann Vertical Gas Smoker - 810-5530-S at The Home Depot

reviews were all good, I have a grill that I love already, so I wanted to save space with a vertical smoker.

now to put it together, cure it, and create some unbelievable ribs this weekend!

Since you got a gas smoker, it is a requirement that you have two propane bottles. It sucks running out of gas midway through.
