We've got those all over here in Chicago. Their bread is really good. The gargantuan is pretty satisfying if you get the chance again. I agree with the roast beef though, good stuff.

hard to compete with 5 dollar foot longs. opening a shop in this economy would be a bad idea. Have you seen the lines at Subways lately

Subway sucks. We have actually been hitting Quizno's pretty hard lately. We also like Jersey Mikes A LOT! Would be intrigued to try Jimmy John's.

Jimmy John's is fairly pricey. For my money Jersey Mike's is the best of the big national chains. I like Capriotti's here in Vegas and back east, but it has a more limited reach

You are correct, the only one in CA is in the Fresno area. I wish I had a chunk of change, I would open one up in the SFV area. I believe they cater to the closely to many colleges/universities.

For the most part, a sandwich is a sandwich to me. What stood out was the fresh bread and it was a 100x's better than a subway sandwich. Just my 2 cents!

Two other sandwich places that are pretty good. 1. Lawry's at LA Live has GREAT bread. 2. Medocino Farms Downtown La.... Yummy!!! That's my problem.... I LOVE BREAD!! and why I now ride my mountain bike more often. (to keep a firm...)
